Best Of’ compilations, in my mind, have always been reserved for legends. Artists like Led Zeppelin and Megadeth have grounds to release one or two but why the hellwould a band like Atreyu ever think of realsing one ? well Rumour has it that its a move to end the contract with the Recording Label , but its least of our worries isnt it ?All in all, The Best Of Atreyu is a below mediocre attempt.There are hardly 2 or 3 tracks thats worth listening to ,where "Bleeding Mascara " being my personal favourite.No catchy riffs , poor screaming and low end bass all combine together for a perfect disaster.People unfamiliar with Atreyu get a chance to listen to their "best songs" on one CD and experience atreyu's so called attempt with hard edged riffs and breakdownsAs per the Metalcore scene you can see most of the lead singer's change their vocal style and mature from the previous album but thats not the case with Alex a.k.a the main man of Atreyu ,in my view his screaming is getting deitorated day-by-day. Alex's vocals sometimesmake you choke and get a feeling that even you can scream better than him , which you surely can ! Best of, or Least Awful. You be the judge.
